Broccoli and Celery Soup

Enjoy this low cal soup with goodness of fibre from broccoli. You can enjoy this soup warm/cold depending on your preference.

Makes 4 servings


Ingredients

1/2 cup broccoli florets
1/2 cup chopped celery
1/8 cup finely chopped onions
3-4 garlic clove , finely chopped
salt to taste
freshly ground black pepper (kalimirch)
1 tsp oil

Method
  1. Heat up oil in a pan and sauté onion and garlic for a minute.
  2. Add celery and salt and stir well.
  3. Add 2 cups of water and cover the pan and allow to cook for 4-5 mins.
  4. After 5 minutes, add the broccoli and cook for 5 minutes.
  5. Remove from the flame and cool it a bit and blend it to thin consistency in a blender.
  6. Pass it through a sieve if want and allow it to boil for 3-4 mins.
  7. Add pepper and garnish with broccoli florets.

Handy Tip:

  1. Adjust the taste of pepper and consistency as per your wish.
